Louie, Louie

Okay, so that was more like the "Boring Open" than the British Open.  And to think that just a year ago we were treated to an edge-of-our-seats Cink-beats-fan-favored-Watson in overtime.  Not this year, though.  Holding something like an eight-stroke lead going into the final round of play, South African Louis Oosthuizen coasted to his first Major at St. Andrews.  Good for Louie, eh?  Thankfully none of us here in Colonies had to waste a whole day watching the finish -- the whole thing was over by lunch on Sunday.  Maybe we should use some of that saved time to learn how to pronounce "Oosthuizen."  Okay, maybe not.

DuffMan: Three for Three

Here's another area where things got a little boring: DuffMan-1 won the third event making it a hat trick so far.  It was nearly as close at it could get, though, with just one stroke of difference separating the D Man and Hole-In-One.  We can discuss other scores but, how 'bout we just enjoy our boredom instead.

See you in August

Our final event is the PGA Championship during the week of August 9th.  Foursomes for that event will be due at Noon ET on Saturday, August 13th.  Yeah, sure -- you might be bored but, don't forget that $100 in cash will be awarded when that event is over.  $20 will go to the event winner and $80 will go to the foursome with the best overall season score.  And looking at the Standings table, there's four solid contenders for that championship cash.  In any event, we'll see you at Whistling Straits in August.
